To those who are thinking of taking the first steps, those that have just started and those that are more advanced, we offer something of interest to everyone.

A computer is available at meetings, enabling us to give tutorials on the many aspects of digital imaging.

We also have discussions about hardware/software and print problems. Members are encouraged to bring their prints along and show how their digital images were created and what techniques were used, and discuss ways that may improve these images. You will find that someone in the group will have a solution to most problems or will know where to find it.

In this fast changing area of photography all of us are learning something new every week, and the aim of this group is to share knowledge and, hopefully, become better digital photographers.

We are a friendly bunch and meet at the Methodist Church Hall at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

Why not come along and check us out? (You have to belong to Hanham Photographic Society to become a member ot the Digital Imaging Group.)

Digital Group AGM 2009

This coming year the club has 4 in house digital tuition evenings and 2 digital lecturers on a Wednesday evening.

We decided to continue the digital group on the same basis as last year, but without an external visitor.

We were of the opinion that the digital group should not take on the organisation of the 4 in-house tuition evenings, but the committee should decide what was wanted and put details on the programme. We did acknowledge that it was likely that members of the digital group would be involved in some of the tuition evenings.

As some current members have difficulty in coming on Tuesdays we said we would investigate holding the digital night on another evening. During the break we were told the room is only available on a Tuesday eveing.

Note. We thought we would be selecting the WCPF DPIC entry next year as in the past, but I notice the selection evening is on the main club programme on Jan 20th, so I have added a set subject.
