| Tewkesbury |
| Seven HPS members enjoyed a day in Tewkesbury although we mananged to pick the wrong day as it was hosting a half marathon and the traffic was not what you would call 'kind'. After our obligatory coffee we made our way to Tewkesbury Abbey and spent time in the gardens surrounding this magnificent building. The weather was just lovely and it was a pleasure to just amble amongst the trees and flowers. There was a service in the Abbey so we decided to take a walk along the river. The fields were full of wild flowers and being the beginning of the season the colours were vibrant. We walked along the river until we reached a bridge which allowed us to make a loop and go back again along the other side of the river where we found a really good pub for lunch. After lunch we were able to take our time around the Abbey before making for home. A really enjoyable day and I think we all appreciated the warm sunshine. Joanne |
